 Workshop on IT-an Innovative tool in the field of Vedic Studies and Research

A one day workshop was held in the university on February,23,2010 organized by mutual understanding of the Dept of Computer science & Dept of Sanskrit and Vedic Science. The workshop aims to raise curtains for the Research programs in the realms of IT and Vedic Sciences. The workshop was inaugurated by Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. S.P Mishra, after the chanting of vedic mantras in his inaugural speech he said ‘this is the new beginning and a new chapter has started in the history of DSVV, where Scientific aspects of Spirituality will be explored with the help of Information Technology and Research methods’. The workshop was programmed in two sessions. Dean Academics and Registrar also explained about the different aspects of Research at DSVV and its importance as related to our Missionary activities.
HOD Computer dept Shri Abhay, told the delegates about the various Research Horizons in DSVV and vivid tools of IT which can facilitate in bringing forth the hidden treasures of our Vedas. Shri Ankur Mehta addressed the students by emphasizing upon the importance of Indian culture and how the truth is spreading across western part of the globe. In all ten delegates from adjoining Institutes of haridwar district attended the workshop.
