9-3-2010 |
International Festival of Yoga, Culture & Spirituality was inaugurated with great packed colors of Enthusiasm, Joy and Divinity on 8th march, 2010 at 12:30 afternoon in the DSVV campus. Around 150 delegates from various parts of the globe participated. The chief guest of the programme was Swami Dayananda Saraswatiji Maharaj, a renowned Spiritual Personality, Professor of Vedanta since 1976, who has designed in depth Vedanta Courses and Centers of Vedic Teachings all over the globe. In his inaugural speech swamiji said that ‘Today India needs movements like Gayatri Pariwar, it is a huge mission covering all parts of India and abroad. The Yellow color of Gayatri Pariwar is the color of Creativity and Spirituality and is the color representing the Divine Culture of India. Nature is the manifestation of Eshwar, entire world is the manifestation of Eshwar and any form can evoke him. Our Scriptures and Vedas are the manifestations of the Eshwar. Our personality reflects our culture, how we eat, how we sit, how we greet each other is our Culture. We do Namaste to a stranger and to the God also. This is the distinctiveness of our Culture. Your attitude towards any discipline of Knowledge towards yourself shows your Culture. God is not a matter of Belief but you will have to understand and Feel him. You are your culture. One can’t have better place than this one to explore the realms of Culture. The Culture includes all Religions, all forms and transcends everything into true form. The Honorable Chancellor of DSVV Dr. Pranav Pandya in his speech said that I welcome swamiji here and we are very fortunate to have his blessings on the commencement of Yog Festival today. This is a special occasion for all of us as their cannot be much Pious and elevated Personality other than swamiji. He is a master Teacher on Vedant, Dharma and Personality Development. Yoga is the buzz word today. Our Whole Life should be Yog, not just few Kriyas and Asanas. We should inhale Indian Culture, Divinity, and Equilibrium. Religion’s core is Culture. There is a very old saying that one who preserves Dharma, Dharma preserves him. In our Indian Culture Spirituality is the invocation and each and every symbol is pious to us. Culture actually is the Cleansing process of the soul, uprooting the bad qualities and growing virtuous and good qualities.
On this occasion around 150 delegates from various parts of the globe participated and joined in the festival whose aim is to arouse Divinity, Righteousness, Culture and Spirituality in them. The festival hall was filled with the dedicated Volunteers of Shantikunj, Students and all the Staff members of DSVV.
