The Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated in the University Campus with great zeal and enthusiasm. All the students, staff members and children of Gayatri Vidyapeeth Shantikunj Participated on this auspicious occasion. Honorable Chancellor Dr. Pranav Pandya inaugurated the function at 10:30 am on 12th Jan. 2004 in the University Prayer hall by Lighting the oil lamp placed before our Founders Shri Ram Sharma Acharya and Mata Bhagwati Devi Sharma.

Honorable VC Dr. S. P Mishra and the Chancellor completed the Dev Pujan Ceremony of the function. In his speech Honorable Chancellor said that Swami Vivekananda is the Role Model for the past many decades and he is also known as ‘MahaManav’ and ‘MahaYoddha’. He spread the fragrance of Indian Culture and Hinduism in the Whole World and became a Synonym of Dev Sanskriti.

 

We can know more about him through the book –‘Sanskriti Purush Swami Vivekananda’, that has 10 Volumes. It describes the the Life History of Swami Vivekananda. The Chancellor also said that “we want to materialize the works started by Swamiji by crafting vibrant Volunteers who will work in our country and abroad to spread his divine message and our divine Indian Culture and also fulfill the Dream of our Revered Gurudev”.

 

He said that if we are able to practice only 10% of his virtues and lifestyle in our lives that would be a Real Tribute to the Spiritual Legend Swami Vivekananda.
